Give employees the branded products without becoming an e-commerce

Glim runs the white-label employee store: employees buy with their own money or redeem credits granted by the company, and Glim is the seller that issues the invoice directly to the employee — the company does not buy, does not resell and earns nothing from it.

Two ways it works, in the same store

  • Direct purchase: the employee enters the brand's white-label store and pays with their own money. Glim is the seller and issues the invoice directly to the employee.
  • Company credits: for recognition, awards or special dates, the company loads credits and the employee redeems products in the same store.
  • When credits or vouchers are redeemed, the invoice still goes from Glim to the employee — the company sponsors the amount, it does not sell the product.
  • For the credits it loads, the company receives a simple top-up invoice — not a product-by-product purchase invoice.
  • Both flows live in the same store, with the same catalogue, the same access and the same brand identity.
  • A campaign or batch paid by the company (200 year-end kits, for example) is a different operation: there Glim issues a sales invoice to the company and ships to each recipient.

Why this does not turn into your own e-commerce

  • In direct purchases and credit redemptions, Glim is the seller: the invoice goes straight from Glim to the employee, with shipping on the same invoice as the product.
  • The setup simplifies tax handling because the invoice is issued directly to the employee, without a round trip through the company's books.
  • The company does not buy to resell, records no sales revenue and does not need to open a retail operation to offer its own branded products.
  • Glim issues the invoice automatically, with the tax code set by operation rule — direct purchase, credit redemption and company-paid campaigns are treated differently.
  • There is no upfront stock and no minimum order: production is on demand, so the company carries no inventory to manage or write off.
  • Every company has its own tax context — our team aligns the details with your tax and accounting people before the store goes live.

Employee store with Glim vs. building your own Shopify or VTEX

  • Building your own store on Shopify or VTEX means the company becomes a retailer: product catalogue, payment processing, tax invoicing, fraud checks and chargebacks.
  • Your own store means buying stock before knowing what sells — and living with wrong size runs, leftovers and tied-up cash.
  • Your own store hands the company the support load: exchanges, lost parcels, wrong sizes, deadlines and tracking. With Glim, that support is ours.
  • Your own store puts the sale on the company's books. With Glim, the invoice goes straight from Glim to the employee in direct purchases and credit redemptions.
  • With Glim the store is white-label with the brand identity: employees see their own company, not Glim.
  • Access is closed by SSO or private link — it is a store for insiders, not a shop open to the public.

What employees find in the store

  • Around 700 SKUs ready to ship and more than 10,000 products customisable with the brand identity.
  • In-house production in São Paulo, on demand, with no minimum order and no upfront stock.
  • Delivery to the employee's address anywhere in Brazil, in 3 to 15 business days depending on the location.
  • Shipping always on the same invoice as the product — never billed on a separate invoice.
  • A white-label store carrying the brand identity, reached through SSO or a closed link.
  • Glim has already built more than 350 corporate stores, serving 40,000+ employees across 80+ companies.

How to launch the employee store

  1. Choose the model

Direct purchase with the employee's own money, credits granted by the company, or both flows in the same store.

  2. Approve identity and catalogue

Send the logo and brand identity and pick the products from around 700 ready-to-ship SKUs and 10,000+ customisable items.

  3. Align the tax side with your team

Glim walks through how the invoice is issued in each flow and aligns the details with your tax and accounting people before launch.

  4. Open it to employees

Access by SSO or closed link. From there Glim runs on-demand production, payment, delivery, invoicing and support.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a channel for employees to buy the company's branded products with their own money?

Glim builds a white-label store carrying your brand identity and runs everything behind it: catalogue, on-demand production, payment, delivery and invoicing. Employees sign in through SSO or a closed link, pay with their own money and receive the order at home. Glim is the seller and issues the invoice directly to the employee — the company does not buy, does not resell and does not have to build an e-commerce.

My company wants to offer branded products to employees without making a profit or becoming an e-commerce. How does that work for tax purposes?

In direct purchases and credit redemptions, the sale is from Glim to the employee: the invoice goes straight from Glim to the individual, with shipping on the same invoice as the product. The setup simplifies tax handling because the invoice is issued directly to the employee, without a round trip through the company's books — the company records no sales revenue and carries no product in stock. Every company has its own tax context, so our team aligns the details with your tax and accounting people.

Do we need to buy stock before opening the store?

No. Production is on demand, with no minimum order and no upfront stock: Glim only produces what the employee ordered. There are around 700 SKUs ready to ship and more than 10,000 products customisable with the brand identity.

Does the company appear on the invoice?

It depends on the flow. In direct purchases and credit or voucher redemptions, the invoice goes from Glim to the employee and the company is not on it — it only sponsors the credit amount, which comes as a top-up invoice. In a campaign or batch paid by the company, such as 200 year-end kits, Glim issues a sales invoice to the company and ships to each recipient.

How do the credits the company grants work?

The company loads credits into the store for recognition, awards or special dates and receives a simple top-up invoice for them. Employees redeem products in the same store where they would buy with their own money, and the invoice still goes from Glim to them.

Why not build the store on Shopify or VTEX?

You can, but on that path the company becomes a retailer: product catalogue, payment processing, tax invoicing, fraud checks, stock bought ahead of demand and support for exchanges and lost parcels. Glim delivers the same channel already running, with on-demand production, delivery across Brazil and the invoice issued directly to the employee.

Who handles delivery and employee support?

Glim does. In-house production in São Paulo, delivery to the employee's address anywhere in Brazil in 3 to 15 business days depending on the location, with shipping always on the same invoice as the product, and questions, exchanges and incidents handled by us.
