Your educational institution's official store

University, college, school or training provider: the institution owns the brand and the community. Glim builds the official store under that brand and handles catalog, inventory, invoicing and shipping, and every student, faculty member, alum or visitor buys directly from the store — without the institution becoming a retailer.

Glim runs the official store of universities, colleges, schools, training providers and alumni associations in Brazil: a white-label store under the institution's brand, a curated catalog, managed inventory, Brazilian electronic invoices (NF-e) and individual shipping nationwide. Students, faculty, alumni and visitors buy on their own and pay directly in the store; the institution uses the same store for what it sends in its own name — welcome kits for new students, graduation kits, event giveaways and institutional gifts.

Who it is for

  • Universities and colleges: an official store for students, faculty, staff and visitors, with one catalog serving campuses, units and programs.
  • K-12 schools: official T-shirts and hoodies, event items (science fair, school festivals, middle- and high-school graduation) and gifts for families — without the front office turning into a stockroom.
  • Training providers, language schools and school networks: branded material for teachers and staff, purchased per unit, with a separate invoice when each unit has its own tax ID (CNPJ).
  • Alumni associations: class, reunion and graduation items for those who have left and want to stay connected to the brand.
  • Business schools and graduate programs: international students who want to take something home, MBA cohorts, closing events and speaker gifts.
  • Student athletic associations, student unions and societies: the group's items inside the official store, carrying the institution's brand and the group's identity.

How it works, in 5 steps

  • 1. The institution lends its brand. Logo, colors, program or unit sub-brands and the name of the official store. Glim builds the white-label store and takes it live in 7 to 10 business days.
  • 2. Glim builds the catalog. Hoodies, T-shirts, embroidered polos, mugs, bottles, notebooks, caps, backpacks, pins and program-specific items, from a catalog of about 700 ready-to-ship SKUs and more than 10,000 items customizable on demand, with no minimum order.
  • 3. The institution decides who gets in. A store open to the public or restricted by a front-office list, by invitation or by SSO — and access can be split by audience: faculty and staff on one side, students, alumni and visitors on the other.
  • 4. The institution promotes it. An “Official Store” link on the website and the student portal, an announcement at the start of term and a presence at enrollment, graduation and calendar events.
  • 5. Glim operates. Production in São Paulo in 2 to 7 business days, picking, packing, invoicing and individual shipping in 3 to 15 business days depending on the destination, with tracking and buyer support.

What the official store does throughout the year

  • Enrollment and orientation: a welcome kit for new students, shipped home or picked up at the unit, with items chosen by the institution.
  • Graduation: graduation kits, class items and gifts for class sponsors and honorees, ordered per class and shipped individually.
  • Academic weeks, conferences and fairs: staff T-shirts, registration giveaways and speaker items, shipped ahead of time to the event address.
  • Alumni: reunion collections, 10- or 25-year class items and an alumni store open all year round.
  • Faculty and staff: embroidered polos, lab coats by program and branded material, with rules by role or unit when the institution wants them.
  • Visitors and exchange students: anyone who visits the campus or comes from abroad buys in the store and receives the order wherever they are in Brazil.

Who buys, who pays and who issues the invoice

  • When a student, faculty member, alum or visitor buys for themselves, they pay directly in the store and Glim issues the invoice (NF-e) in their name. Nothing goes through the institution's books.
  • When the institution buys — welcome kits, graduation kits, event giveaways — the invoice is issued to its tax ID (CNPJ).
  • The institution does not become a retailer: Glim is the seller and issues the invoice to whoever bought, on every order.
  • Each unit, campus or school in the network can buy under its own tax ID, with a separate invoice and delivery to its own address.
  • The institution pays no monthly fee and no sign-up fee: it adds a prepaid balance that is only used when it has something produced and shipped in its own name.

What the institution does not have to do

  • It does not buy inventory. No hoodie sits in the front office waiting for the right class.
  • It does not issue invoices. The invoice comes from Glim, straight to whoever bought — student, faculty member, visitor or the institution itself.
  • It does not pack or ship. Picking, checking, packing and posting are Glim's job.
  • It does not handle buyer support. Questions about size, lead time, tracking, exchanges and returns reach Glim's support through the store itself.
  • It does not manage suppliers. The institution does not get quotes for hoodies, follow production or chase down embroidery.
  • It does not depend on one person. If management, coordination or the student union changes, the store stays live with the same catalog and the same operation.

What changes compared with running the store yourself

  • Running your own store means buying inventory before you know what sells; sizes and colors that do not move stay with the institution.
  • Selling on your own means issuing a sales invoice for every order and handling payment, exchanges and returns.
  • Packing, posting and answering tracking questions become someone's job in the front office or the student union, and stop when that person changes roles.
  • With Glim, the institution keeps what is its own — the brand, the community and the decision about what to sell — and the operation stays with Glim.

Frequently asked questions from educational institutions

How does a university or school sell official products to students, faculty and visitors?

With an official store operated by Glim: the institution lends its brand and approves the catalog; Glim builds the white-label store, produces on demand or picks from ready-to-ship stock, issues the invoice and ships to the buyer. Students, faculty, alumni and visitors buy directly from the store, without the institution buying inventory, becoming a retailer or issuing invoices.

Does the institution need to buy inventory to have an official store?

No. Inventory is managed by Glim: about 700 SKUs are kept in Glim's own stock, ready to ship, and more than 10,000 items are customizable on demand, with no minimum order. The institution does not buy stock up front, does not store boxes in the front office and does not risk being left with hoodies in the wrong size.

Who issues the invoice when a student buys from the official store?

Glim does. The student pays directly in the store and receives the invoice (NF-e) in their own name, as in any online purchase. Nothing goes through the institution's books, and it neither becomes a retailer nor issues sales invoices. When the institution is the buyer — welcome kits, event giveaways — the invoice is issued to its tax ID (CNPJ). In a network with several tax IDs, each unit is registered under its own and the invoice goes to the unit that bought.

Can faculty and staff access be separated from student and alumni access?

Yes. The same official store can have internal access, restricted by list or SSO, for faculty and staff, and another for students, alumni, families and visitors. The institution defines who enters each one and what each audience sees; the operation, the inventory and the shipping are the same.

How do graduation kits and new-student welcome kits work?

The institution chooses the items and Glim assembles the kit from the store catalog. The order can be per class, shipped ahead of time to the unit or the ceremony, or individual, delivered to each graduate's or new student's home. The invoice is issued to the institution's tax ID (CNPJ) and the shipment is tracked.

Can alumni buy from the official store?

Yes. The alumni store stays open all year round, with class items, reunion collections and branded products, and the institution decides whether access is open or based on an alumni list. Each purchase is paid in the store and the invoice is issued to whoever bought.

Can a visitor or an international student buy and receive an order?

Yes. Anyone who visits the campus or comes from abroad buys in the store and receives the order at any address in Brazil, with delivery in 3 to 15 business days depending on the destination. International shipping is handled on request, with taxes and customs clearance defined per country and project, and agreed in the proposal.

How long does it take for the official store to go live?

From 7 to 10 business days from proposal acceptance to go-live, including building the store under the institution's brand, curating the catalog and configuring access. What usually sets the pace is the institution: approving the visual identity and defining who can buy.
